Happy Monday, friends! I don’t know about you but I am so not ready for the cold weather. Waking up at 4:30 this morning and stepping outside was painful…actually painful. I’m still in denial that summer is over. I am, however, super excited that it’s now acceptable to wear scarves.
Thank you all so much for your support and kind words regarding my last post. I am super blessed to have awesome people like you for motivation and inspiration I have quite a few comments and emails to respond to – and I hope to get to that today & tomorrow.
I spent the weekend working and with my family. My brother and sister in law just moved into a beautiful new home about 45 minutes from where they used to live – a longer drive for me, but well worth it to see them and my favorite three year old ever.
We grabbed lunch, caught up and played on tractors. Probably the highlight of her day AND mine as well, not gonna lie.
Is she not the cutest thing ever? I KNOW.
I met with my trainer early Saturday morning and we went over my workouts for this week as well as my nutrition plan. My carbs and calories overall are a lot higher than I’m used to, but I’ve found my workouts since then have been a lot more successful in terms of upping weights and my form as well. After a full work week, workouts and social time, I’m actually and surprisingly NOT exhausted in the least bit. Although I’m pretty sure my gas could’ve propelled me for the first couple of days, my body is responding to the higher calories very well. Of course, I was a little anxious at first, but I trust my trainer and I know he knows what’s up!
8oz tuna steak, veggies sauteed in coconut oil, avocado and wasabi roasted edemame. Yummo!
We worked back & biceps and I had a chest & tri workout planned out for today, but I had to switch it out and work legs instead because I’m still having issues lifting my fork to my mouth when I eat…I took that as a hint that it probably wouldn’t be in my favor to work arms again til I can eat without a bib. Til then, here’s to being a slob.
Enjoy your Monday, friends!
Peace and love!
