I figured today would be the perfect opportunity to share a workout with y’all. I participated in Fitfluential’s Puma Campaign this month and had the awesome opportunity to try out a new pair of kicks, workout shirt and super comfy pants. The shoes are absolutely my new favorite item in my wardrobe. Anyways, I asked on my Facebook page and twitter what kind of workout I should post – there was a total tie between lower and upper body, so I’m just gonna share my current favorite back and bis split! Enjoy!
After I warmup in the gym on back & biceps day, I almost ALWAYS hit the pullup machine first while I’m “fresh” – this allows me to try out cleaning more unassisted pullups. Just an extra tip if you’re ready to try unassisted pullups
I find that setting myself goals for each month to attempt a new PR – whether it be lower/upper body, push/pull etc. This month I met my goal by leg pressing 500lbs. May not seem all that for some people, but I left the gym feeling like a BAMF that day. Working with my trainer has made a huge difference in the way I see the gym now – I am no longer intimidated by any piece of equipment or machine, nor do I feel out of place in the back of the gym with the dudes. Loving it.
I’d say I’ve made some progress
Now, onto the Puma gear!
These ‘Formlite’ shoes are the most lightweight and comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn to the gym.
The shirt is light as a feather as well and flows perfectly – I hate it when my gym shirts are way too snug, especially in the armpit area – the whole armpit tug deal just isn’t attractive between sets. This shirt is great at keeping you dry too.
I wore it during leg day last week!
For me, working out in form-fitting pants is best. You’ll probably never see me in the gym with anything but tight pants. I even wear them around the house. Love em! Adding them to my collection.
Happy weekend, friends!
Peace and love!
